The Energy of Now

Doing something about anything requires action. Action can only take place in the NOW!

Organizational behavior ultimately flows from individual behavior because groups, no matter how large, exist as a voluntary association of individual human beings.

Human beings have a tendency to get trapped in the past (if) and/or to day dream about future (when).  If and when are used to avoid taking action NOW.

“Xergy” (ex-er-jee) fuels the moment!

When a human being learns to appropriately value actions that can be taken right now over the actions they’d wish they’d taken in the past or the actions they hope to take in the future, then good things start to happen fast.   A person powered by Xergy not only gets things done — an Xergized person gets the right things done.

Not yesterday.

Not tomorrow.

NOW!

I coined the term “Xergy” in 2008 to represent the energy which powers human action. I am launching my own consultancy, The Xergy Group, both to study the Science of Human Action as well as to help individuals harness Xergy to power their own personal and professional success.

This blog will serve as my sounding board and my journal as I seek to tap into wellsprings of Xergy wherever The Energy of Now might be found!
